NEW CD!

Here is the new solo cd, featuring Sean Ashby on vocals, guitar... "I played 4 notes on piano on one tune other than that, its lots of guitar sound". Sean produced, wrote, engineered, edited, and programmed the album as well.

The album's mixed by Warne Livesy -- mixer/producer with Midnight Oil, Talk Talk, The The, Happy Mondays, Matthew Good Band, Jets Overhead, and currently working with the Death Cab For Cutie camp on a solo cd for Chris Walla.

The new solo cd focuses on Sean Ashby's songwriting/singing /guitar/producing. He also mixed one song. The musicians on the cd are:

• Todd Fancey, from the New Pornographers and Jack Tripper, sings some background vocals
• Ray Garraway-drummer with K-OS
• Sean Drabbit on bass -he has worked with people like Branford and Wynton Marsalis
• Paul Intson plays bass on one song
• Maury Lafoy (K-OS) bass on one song
• Two songs have string sections arranged by Kevin Fox
• Danny Lockwood plays drums on one song
• Nick Pesut (Jack tripper alumni) sings backgrounds and plays percusion on some tunes

About Sean

Sean Ashby is one of North Americas most sought after musicians. He has been playing and recording with the likes of Sarah McLachlan (www.sarahmclachlan.com), Delerium & Conjure 1 (www.mindphaser.com), and many others. Also a talented songwriter, his brainchild Jack Tripper released two albums which wich were greeted with much enthusiasm from North Americas music community. Sean has also done a great deal of producing and with his two Jack Tripper albums and projects like Adrienne Pierce's 'Smallfires' he is most certainly getting to be known as a man of many talents. Currently Sean is living in Toronto and working on a solo c.d. With as a tentative release date of summer 07 .
